We Are Your Certified
Firefree® F88 Application Team
Superior Fire Protection is your Firefree® F88 intumescent application team. F88® is a passive fire protection coating we apply directly to your building's structural elements - steel, wood, concrete, and more. It does not replace your sprinkler system. It is the second layer of structural defense that protects when fire suppression alone is not enough.
We do not manufacture Firefree® F88. We do not distribute it. We apply it.

Passive Protection Is Not Optional
For some facilities, a structural fire event is not a setback - it is a shutdown. Inventory, data, regulatory standing, irreplaceable assets - the downstream cost of being unprotected dwarfs the cost of protection.
Warehouses & Distribution
High-rack storage, dense inventory, and limited compartmentalization make warehouses the highest-risk environment for catastrophic structural fire loss. When a fast-developing fire overwhelms a sprinkler system in a high-bay racking configuration, the structural members holding that roof are the last line of defense. F88 applied to those members — by our certified team — is what keeps that roof from coming down on your inventory and your people. Catastrophic inventory exposure
Pharmacies & Medical
DEA and FDA-regulated inventory, temperature-sensitive controlled substances, and chain-of-custody documentation requirements make fire events at pharmaceutical facilities extraordinarily costly — not just in inventory, but in regulatory standing, license status, and client trust. Passive fire protection is a documented component of a complete compliance and risk management posture. DEA & FDA compliance exposure
Cold Storage & Refrigerated Facilities
Dry pipe suppression systems — standard in cold storage — operate effectively in only 76–77% of qualifying fires, compared to 89–92% for wet pipe systems. Cold storage facilities also present condensation challenges that accelerate corrosion of both structure and coating. We assess cold storage environments specifically and apply F88 in configurations appropriate for low-temperature, high-humidity conditions. Catastrophic inventory exposure
AI Infrastructure & Data Centers
Mission-critical uptime, irreplaceable client data, and SLA obligations make structural fire events existentially threatening to data center operators. A 15-minute structural failure costs more than the cost of the F88 application that would have prevented it — by orders of magnitude. We work with data center operators to identify and treat the structural elements most exposed to fire risk. Mission-critical uptime risk
Schools, Universities & Institutional Facilities
Duty of care obligations for students, staff, and visitors create significant liability exposure in the absence of documented passive fire protection. Institutional facilities that can demonstrate a certified, documented passive fire protection posture are in a materially stronger position in the event of an incident — legally, regulatory, and reputationally. Duty of care liability
Commercial & Multi-Tenant Properties
A structural fire event in a multi-tenant building generates claims from multiple parties simultaneously. Landlords and property managers who can produce certified, documented F88 application records are in a fundamentally different post-incident position than those who cannot. Passive fire protection applied across your portfolio — and documented for each property — strengthens your position in lease negotiations, insurance renewals, and litigation. Multi-tenant liability exposure
Your Fire Sprinkler System Does Its Job. Until It Doesn't.
Fire sprinkler systems are one of the most effective fire safety tools ever developed for commercial and industrial facilities. When they activate correctly, they suppress fires before structural damage occurs. But here are some facts to consider:
- Sprinklers fail to operate in 1 in 12 fires large enough to activate them - an 8% failure rate
- The #1 cause of failure: the system was shut off.
- Human error drives 93% of all sprinkler failures
- 5.4% of individual sprinkler heads tested have failed
Your fire sprinklers were not designed to work alone. We close that gap.
More About Firefree® F88
Firefree® F88 is a water-based, intumescent passive fire protection coating developed and manufactured by Firefree Coatings, Inc. It is independently tested, third-party certified, and approved for application across more than 40 substrate types - including structural steel, wood framing, concrete, drywall, FRP panels, and foam insulation.
When exposed to heat, Firefree® F88 expands - forming a dense, insulating char layer over the surface it protects. That char slows heat transfer to the structural material beneath, dramatically extending the time before structural failure occurs. In third-party ASTM E119 full-scale fire tests, F88-coated assemblies have demonstrated up to two hours of structural fire resistance.
Firefree® F88 is not a suppression system. It does not extinguish fires. It protects the structural integrity of your building during a fire event — giving your people time to evacuate, your suppression systems time to respond, and your facility the best possible chance of surviving an event that your sprinkler system alone was not designed to handle by itself.

What we Deliver
We are not here to sell you a product.
We are here to apply one - correctly, to your specific facility, with the certification and documentation that makes the application defensible when it matters. That is the Superior Fire Prevention service.
